Let it Snow! This winter has been piled with the cold-white stuff. Austin is finally old enough to enjoy playing outside, although I'm not sure how thrilled he was once he lost his mittens.
Don't ask...Many have seen these shots before. I just can't get enough of that handsome face of his! Christmas 2007This year we celebrated Christmas with the ENTIRE family on both sides! Who gets that lucky?! Beau's family spent the weekend with us. In addition to the piles of toys, gifts, and food, we also took some time out to "exercise"....can you call Wii Tennis exercise? As soon as I locate the pictures from my family's visit I'll post them to the site. At the moment though, it seems I've misplaced them... First PicturesIt seems at some point during February or March, Austin got his hands on the camera. I'm not sure I would call them artistic (more like accidental), but I can identify the objects in the photos! Happy Birthday AustinWow, I've been slacking on the pictures! Well, Austin celebrated his 2nd birthday this March. In addition to all the wonderful gifts he received, we also had the chance to pull the family together for an afternoon of....well chaos. Austin started out his day looking adorable in his overalls (yes mom, the same ones your doll by the front door wears). We got to snap some quick shots of him and Madison early in the day. Since they enjoyed it so much last time, Austin and Beau were responsible for making the cupcakes for the party. After teaching him to lick the beaters (after everything was stirred, thank you very much) he decided he wanted his own bowl to lick. Beau poured some batter into a small bowl and taught him how to dip pretzels in it...outfit number one was toast. We started the party out with bubbles and general chaos. The adults had some time to relax and grab a quick bite to eat before the fun REALLY began. Brooke got the bright idea to have everyone ice their own cupcakes. Not only did it mean everyone could have the perfect amount of icing and sprinkles, it also meant that we didn't have a lot of prep-work before the party. Yeah...brilliant idea.... At least the other party-goers were a little cleaner in their efforts. Since you just can't get messy without spreading the love...all over the house...Austin was happy to oblige. Needless to say, outfit two was toast. So, we dragged the kids up to "swim" in the jetted tub. Luckily, PJs and quiet time followed shortly after the dip in the "pool". I'm fairly certain a change of clothes was in order for the hosts as well as the itty-bitty ones. Random March ShotsBasically, I'm running out of snappy headlines to use for the sections. These are random shots that I took when I could actually find the camera. His two-year "look how big I'm getting" photos should be coming soon. The lion picture is as close as I could get. You can't deny...this child has some blue eyes. "Let's take a picture of you so Grandma can see how much you enjoy your new chair"....In typical toddler fashion, that phrase was met promptly with "NO!" Here are the torture shots (at least I'm sure that's what he was thinking at the time). I promise, he really does like playing and sitting in the chair.
